Course 7 Standards
7.1Demonstrate the ability to perform a drawing setup, e.g., sheet size, border, and title block.
7.2 Control entity properties by layer, color, and line type.
7.3 Demonstrate the use of the alphabet of lines

Artifacts
These drawings meet the standards because they require the student to both scale and use different kinds of lines. The lines used include dimensioning, center, and hidden lines. These different types of lines all use different colors in the drawings and use all the standards.

Reflection and Summary
How did you meet this standard?
I met this standard by following the procedures we have been given. Mr. Grummer taught us how to setup the drawing in AutoCAD so that we would not have to ask him later in the year. The videos posted by Mr. Grummer allowed me to rewatch the lesson until I understood. The videos also showed the correct use of layers and colors in the drawings.
How Does This Standard Have Real-World Applications?
This Standard has real-world applications because drawings must be setup correctly in size and border. If the design isn't in the correct setup it wont be made correctly. Also layers that are not setup correctly will affect how the design or object is created. If the colors are incorrect also the design will end up changed which could endanger the lives of the people in the building.
What are Your Future Learning Goals related To This Standard?
My future learning goals are to be able to correctly setup the drawing layout without having to second guess myself. Also the correct use of the different types of lines in more complicated drawings. The ability to control my lines by their color is a concept I want to master before advancing to harder levels of designing.
