AC-ADDII-6
Create a project presentation for a building.
6.1 Research architectural presentations.
6.2 Prepare one-point and two-point perspectives of a building.
6.3 Create a rendering of a building.
6.4 Draw a set of plans to demonstrate comprehension of residential drawing and design standards.
6.5 Build a physical three-dimensional (3D) model based on researched architectural plans.
6.6 Generate a presentation using a virtual walk-through on a house (optional dependent upon software capabilities).
6.7 Demonstrate the use of Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software related to creating project presentations.
Spring Semester 2017
Reflection
The purpose of a building presentation is to give an overall view of the entire project and have it in a format that you can use to advertise it to other people. The renderings are useful for creating an initial image of what a finished version of the product will look like at specific points of the project from certain angles. The walkthroughs are used to show a more interactive version of the project while still retaining the finished and polished feeling like the renderings give to the viewer. A physical 3D model is used to show the viewer a scaled down version of the entire project from the exterior and its site. I satisfied this standard through my own creation of a building presentation in this class. For my presentation, I used renderings made in revit and Prisma to display a polished and furnished version my model on my storyboard. I also created an overall view video of my project using walkthrough videos created in Revit. Finally I created a 3D model of my house using resources supplied by Grummer. This model was an exact physical replication of my Revit model. My future learning goals are to be more efficient and polished in my 3D model creation. What I still do not know about this standard is how to properly use the graphics changer on images as a substitute to the rendering process.

Spring semester 2016
Reflection
I met the first standard through outside research regarding what goes into and what is ideal for an Architectural presentation. A presentation should be simple and remove anything unnecessary, it should be condensed to about three major points about your project that you would like to have your audience remember. Also make sure you have the visuals needed for your presentation whether it be a site picture, full render set or simply a general idea plan. I met the next standard through my work on my Revit project. In the renderings of the project both one and two point perspective renders are used to showcase the elements and design of the perspective including the floor plan, interior design, colors, and site around the project which helps the visualization of the final result. I met the next standard through my work in Revit. The rendering of views of the house is a major part of assembling a good presentation for the final version of your project. I met the next standard through my earlier work in creating my Revit model. The floor plan and other AutoCAD assisted drawings demonstrate the comprehension of the standards. I met the next standard through my work this semester in Revit. My project consist of finding my floor plan in an online source and creating a house with that floor plan with my own interior style and site design all in a 3D space model of Revit. I met the next standard through my work earlier this year and work in the next week. The creation of a walkthrough video using the inside resources of Revit are essential to the presentation of the final project. This video will highlight the majority of the projects features including interior layout, design and site design all while showing them in complete relation to the rest of the project. I met the next standard through the work I have done earlier this year. The creation of a floor plan, and other construction documents play a major role in presentation of a project because without a set of these documents the project won’t be looked at. This standard applies to the real world because all projects must be approved by a board before they are undertaken and being able to present exactly what you need well is essential in the workplace. My future learning goals are to perfect the aspects of the presentation so that my future architectural projects will have a smooth and flawless presentation.
